Our Park and Homes

The Vynes is a small retirement park of just 27 park homes located within walking distance of the bustling town of Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire yet on the doorstep of beautiful open countryside. We take great care to ensure our residents live in a pleasant and peaceful environment; as such we maintain the communal areas for everyone’s enjoyment.   All our plots enjoy a private garden with parking facilities either adjacent or near to each Park Home.  Pets are allowed at the park owner’s discretion.  Each new home is connected to mains services (gas, electric and sewerage) and residents enjoy low energy bills as well as falling into the lowest council tax band (band A). 

Pitch fees are paid monthly.  Each resident has the benefit of the 1983 Mobile Homes Act agreement assuring them of security of tenure.  McFarland Park & Leisure Homes are members of the British Holiday and Home Parks Association and all our Park Homes carry a 10 year Gold Shield Warranty.

The local area

Leighton Buzzard is a traditional market town, which has managed to retain its unique history and character whilst still meeting the demands of a busy town in the 21st century. With its combination of historic buildings and modern shopping mews set against the backdrop of the Grand Union Canal, Leighton Buzzard has something to please everyone.

There are bus stops close to The Vynes with routes serving the local area.  There is a major supermarket within walking distance of the park and a short drive or bus ride will take you to the centre of Leighton Buzzard and its array of restaurants, cafés and shops.

The Vynes is also ideally located just a short drive away from the major towns of Milton Keynes, Luton and Aylesbury, where you will find an excellent choice of high street shops, local independent retailers, restaurants, cafés and bars.

Heritage, picturesque landscapes and local markets are in abundance - living at The Vynes has so much to do and see.

Leighton Buzzard street market – Bedfordshire’s premier street market is held in the centre of the town every Tuesday and Saturday, and every month there is a Farmer’s Market.

Leighton Buzzard Railway - One of the only two-foot gauge railway lines that are still operational today including dozens of steam engines to see and a museum to visit.

Woburn Abbey and Safari Park – A unique and historic stately home of the Duke of Bedford and wonderful family attraction set in 3000 glorious acres of deer park.

Bletchley Park - Historic site of secret British code-breaking activities during WWII and birthplace of the modern computer.

Ascott House - A National Trust property and family home of the de Rothschild family.
